Have Your Say
The People's Palace.

Hello everyone, my name is Malcolm, and I moved to this area just over a year ago. A dream come true quite frankly! A Londoner born and bred, I've always wanted to see the best for Alexandra Palace. After all, it does belong to the people of London since an act of Parliament in 1900.
I'm very fortunate to have an amazing view of Ally Pally, and just under a year ago, I became friends with a very talented and determined young local lady. She, just like so many people like me, cannot understand why this historic, iconic, and truly amazing place is currently in the state it is. It is a waste! A travesty even!
It is however, time to stop thinking like that, and just look at the building and ask ourselves; 'What is my grandest vision of what it could be? How can it be put back into the hands of The People?'
With this in mind, I'd like to give you a link to a recently set up website. The possibilities are endless really. The site speaks for it's self, with amazingly useful links that can prove very useful to anyone who wants to see positive change in their local area, from the grass roots up.
Some interesting facts emerge about that sleeping giant on the hill too. It is truly visionary stuff!
Thank you in advance for taking the time to check it out.......

Hey Malcolm
That sounds like a really great idea. I've often wondered about what could be done about that beautiful building. It is currently used for antique fairs I think, also wedding receptions, occasionally a car show and maybe a farmers market but as far as I know, that's it - there's not much else going on there. It would be a shame for it to go to rack and ruin. Good luck and I will be taking a look at your website. By the way, it could be used for music evenings like they do at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire? just an idea ..
