During the Summer break, young East Finchley residents will be able to take part in a range of free activities across the borough of Barnet as part of Barnet’s third Summer Uni.
The Youth and Connexions Service has more than 90 courses on offer for young people up to the age of 25 to try their hand. Events started this week, and will run for four weeks.
Archery, poetry writing, BMX biking, circus skills, cookery, fashion design, stage combat, music production and trampolining.
Councillor Andrew Harper, deputy leader of the council and cabinet member for education, children and families, said: “Barnet’s Summer Uni continues to grow
year on year, providing our younger residents with a great range of interesting, beneficial and thought provoking activities to take
part in. With so many great activities
being held right across the borough, there
will be no excuse to say ‘I’m bored’ this summer.”
This year’s Summer Uni runs until 20 August. Readers should visit www.futureversity.org or phone on 0800 389 8312 for more information and to book places.
